Excellent news, battle followers: we’ll quickly have a pleasant trip from having to look at MMA fights within the UFC Apex.
Following this yr’s season of Dana White’s Contender Collection and some ultimate UFC Combat Nights in November, the UFC Apex might be shut down till mid-2025 because the venue will get renovated. White confirmed the plans in a recent interview with TNT Sports.
“The Apex goes beneath development,” he mentioned. “We’re truly increasing the Apex. It’s gonna be larger and higher. We’re doing like a $25 million growth on the Apex. There’s gonna be hospitality, extra loos. Larger. Extra seating. Yeah, we’re increasing.”
The small size and dead atmosphere has been an enormous motive why followers hate the Apex. In the event that they renovate it right into a stable 1000+ particular person venue with an honest vibe and tickets regular followers can afford, we could have much less causes to bag on the UFC for persevering with to overuse the place.
No matter occurs, White instructed we’d be seeing extra UFC Combat Evening occasions throughout the nation.
“It’s not like we’re going to 100% go away from the Apex,” White mentioned. “The Apex is unbelievable for us. However we’re going to begin touring Combat Nights extra.”
Travelling Combat Nights means the UFC must e book exhibits that may truly transfer tickets. Meaning higher high quality playing cards, which makes us a lot happier followers. November can’t come quickly sufficient!
