Tuchel has other pressing priorities after the defence – Talk Chelsea

We’re all totally conscious now of the scenario we’re on this summer time with our defenders. To recap, we may find yourself dropping 4 senior defenders from our first staff and in reality, it’s trying extra doubtless by the day that we’ll be.

So clearly, changing defenders this summer time is sure to be the precedence for Thomas Tuchel and the membership. However there may be arguably simply as an vital a place to signal on this summer time after we now have sorted the defence, and it’s so vital that Tuchel and the brand new homeowners flip to it, and that’s so as to add a real defensive midfielder to the squad.

A participant who will purely sit, has the athleticism, capacity on the ball, robust tackler, and capable of snuff out hazard and defend the again line.

Chelsea don’t at the moment have a participant resembling this of their squad, however many of the high groups on the earth do. We want what they name a ‘destroyer’ holding midfielder, and we should be that as a precedence.

Chelsea and Tuchel clearly agree and know this, simply take a look at all of the true defensive midfielders we now have been linked to during the last couple of months. I imagine it’s a place we are going to look to sign up, however naturally and importantly, they should and wish to rebuild the defence first.
