Tracy McGrady: The hype around Victor Wembanyama is too much, we don’t know what this kid is going to be

On Victor Wembanyama and does he see somewhat little bit of himself in his recreation and ability set… McGrady: Uhhhh… No. No, however I might say this in regards to the child: He has nice expertise to be his dimension, but in addition Bol Bol has comparable expertise, proper? That’s why I mentioned that I’ve seen this earlier than. Bol Bol has the same ability set to what Victor is, it’s simply that he’s not going to get the chance that Victor goes to get. However, the hype around this kid is too much for me and I’m not sayin’ it because he doesn’t deserve it but let’s let this kid develop and see what he’s going to be. Y’all talking about the greatest player of all time and this and that like… c’mon man. We gotta chill out with that. We don’t know what this kid is going to be. I do know that he’s going to be nicely ready, he’s going to get the perfect recommendation that he probably may get from anyone as a result of he’s surrounded by greatness — Greg Popovich, Tim Duncan, David Robinson and so in that sense he’s going to be ready for something that he’s about to endure however, let it play out man. We don’t know the way nice this child goes to be. We simply don’t know. That is the NBA bro! He’s going to be going up in opposition to some REAL canines out right here which can be that and goes to take offense to that, you understand what I’m sayin’? By him coming over from France and also you suppose that he’s going to be the highest canine?…. It’s going to be some guys over right here on this soil that’s going to problem that so, let’s let this play out. It’s an excessive amount of.
