We’ve all been closely reliant on Roman Abramovich leaving our beloved membership in secure arms when he leaves, however we additionally although that had been taken away from us when he was sanctioned.
Nonetheless, this isn’t the case based on an article printed in the present day by The Athletic. They declare that Roman Abramovich nonetheless has a say within the Chelsea sale course of and the Russian needs Chelsea to go to a gaggle or particular person with a confirmed observe report, a imaginative and prescient for the membership and easy accessibility to funds.
That is nice information for Chelsea followers and workers, or at the very least you’ll hope it’s. There are some very controversial events concerned in bidding for the membership, with Woody Johnson and The Ricketts Household topping that checklist. If Abramovich ‘reads the room’ as such, he’ll see that there’s not a single Chelsea fan who would need both of those two be our new homeowners, and you’ll hope that our reactions/views will make a distinction judging by how a lot he has beloved this membership and it’s fanbase during the last 20 years.
We’ll all be placing our belief in him now to do that one final wonderful factor for our membership and ensure he leaves us in secure arms and never somebody who will flip us right into a ‘franchise’ and have a historical past of controversial feedback and tales written about them.
No less than, that is what we might hope anyway. We’ve to imagine that Roman will decide the correct one, and this information makes me at the very least a bit extra hopeful that he’ll do that relatively than simply leaving it to Raine Group or the UK Authorities to resolve.
