Maroon Women’s Tennis Edged Out in 4-3 Battle with Eastern Michigan

CHICAGO – In a match-up that went right down to the wire, the College of Chicago girls’s tennis crew was edged out by Japanese Michigan College 4-3 on Friday night time.

The Maroons (0-1 file) have been making their 2022 twin match debut following a profitable match season within the fall. The Eagles improved to 2-4.

Friday’s competitors at XS Tennis pitted a younger UChicago squad that featured 5 first-years in its beginning lineup in opposition to NCAA Division I opponent Japanese Michigan.

The Maroons secured the doubles level after successful two of the three doubles matches. First-years Shianna Gou and Sylwia Mikos defeated their opponents 6-3 at No. 1. Junior Claudia Ng and senior Eugenia Lee gained by an an identical 6-3 margin at No. 2.
