Baseball records NCAA tournament victory for first time since 2009 after beating Elizabethtown College

AMBLER, Pa. – For the primary time since 2009, the Husson College baseball staff picked up an NCAA Event victory as they defeated Elizabethtown Faculty, 13-12, in an elimination sport on the Glenside Regional at Skip Wilson Area on the campus of Arcadia College. 

The Blue Jays (22-22) opened up the scoring within the first inning with two runs however Husson (25-16) responded with 13 consecutive runs en path to the historic victory.

Within the fourth, Stoddard tripled to attain Rogerson then an error allowed Stoddard to attain. Knowlton would cap off the scoring within the inning with a double as he made it, 11-2 Husson. Junior Joshua Scott was one of many final Eagles to document successful within the sport however he made his depend within the fifth when he smashed a solo shot for his eighth homer of the season to make it a ten run lead. The Eagles would end scoring runs within the sixth when Parke singled to make it 13-2. 

The Blue Jays battled again to inside one as Warren ended the sport with a diving seize at second base as senior Cam Graham recorded his first collegiate save.

Junior Harrison Lendrum began the competition for the Eagles as he allowed the opening two runs to the Blue Jays. Freshman Matt Wallingford changed the junior and went 4 innings as he allowed simply two hits. Sophomore Jackson Thayer, senior Jake Gregoire, sophomore Ryan Robb, sophomore Alex Smith, and Graham closed the sport out for the Eagles.
